The Problem
Most international expansions fail
before execution begins.
The cause is rarely a lack of information. Companies enter the wrong market, at the wrong time, with the wrong structure; not because they didn't research enough, but because no one owned the decision.
The Decision Gap
Companies gather data, consult advisors, explore options. But fragmented information without a structured decision process leads to commitment without clarity.
The Execution Gap
Even when a direction exists, execution loses its way. When the decision and its execution don't match, the idea behind the expansion is lost before it reaches the market.
We exist at the intersection of these two gaps.
About Us
Built to sit on your side of the table.
Frontbenchers was founded on a specific observation: international expansion fails not at the execution stage, but before it. The decisions of expansion, location and the strategy are consistently made without structure, without challenge, and without a trusted partner to pressure-test it.
We work the way a senior member of your team would. We ask the hard questions, challenge the assumptions, and stay involved until the path forward is clear and executable.
We are not distant advisors who deliver reports at arm's length. We are your trusted partners at the table, working through the decision with you.
Who This Is For
This model is not for everyone.
Access is selective. We evaluate every application based on decision readiness, not company size or sector.
You are a strong fit if you:
- Have validated your product in at least one market
- Hold or report to decision authority
- Are committed to growing your business internationally
- Are willing to act on a "Go" decision
- Understand that a No-Go outcome is a result, not a failure
Less likely to qualify if you:
- Are looking for general insights or market research
- Want to explore options without a decision on the horizon
- Expect execution support before a decision has been made
- Are not prepared to have your assumptions challenged
- Have no vision of building your brand internationally

What We Help You Solve
The problems we are built for.
Market Entry Strategy
Defining the right market, the right timing, and the right structure for entry; before capital is committed.

Structuring the order and pace of expansion across markets to reduce risk and preserve resources.

Execution Alignment

The Process
Structured and tailored advisory process.
Each stage leads to a clear outcome.
Step by step. We cut through the noise, bring clarity, and see it through to execution.
The First Step
Every engagement starts with an application. We review each submission carefully and respond only where there is a genuine fit. There are no retainers without a prior assessment, and no assessment without a written agreement. We do not take on every company that applies. Engagement quality depends on decision readiness, not sector or size. If the fit is not there, we will say so directly.
Qualification & Diagnostic
We start by checking if there's a real expansion decision to make and whether working together will actually lead somewhere. Not every application is accepted. If it's a fit, we dig into your assumptions, challenge them, and surface what's been taken for granted before any direction is set.
Decision Structuring & Outcome
We lay out the viable options, set the sequence, and make sure the plan matches what you can actually execute. Every engagement ends with one of three outcomes: " Go", " No-Go", or " Conditional Go". You leave with a clear decision, the reasoning behind it, and what to do next.
A "Go" or "Conditional Go" outcome is not the end of the engagement. It is where the advisory work begins.
Execution Structuring & Embedded Advisory
We turn the decision into a clear, step-by-step execution plan, covering how you enter the market, who you work with, and how things run day to day. In the early phase, we stay close to the founder and executive team, working alongside them to make sure daily decisions stay on track.
Performance Tracking & Strategic Alignment
As things take shape in the new market, we stay involved at a strategic level. We keep an eye on how it's performing against the original direction, and when conditions shift, we adjust without losing sight of the plan.
Behind the Work
Experience That Precedes the Advice.
Frontbenchers was built on over a decade of hands-on work at the intersection of government, institutional ecosystems, and technology expansion. Before advising companies on where and how to enter new markets, we spent years on the other side of that decision, working within the institutions that evaluate, facilitate, and ultimately shape whether a company lands well or fails quietly.
Our background spans HM Government of the United Kingdom and official Dutch institutions, as well as multinational trade organisations. Across these roles, we worked directly with governments, research institutions, embassies, and innovative ecosystems in Türkiye, the EECA region, and beyond, facilitating market entries, building bilateral platforms, and supporting the kind of decisions that cannot be outsourced to a report.
That institutional experience is not a credential we display. It is the operating logic behind everything we do.
What This Looks Like in Practice
Decision before direction.
We do not start with market selection. We start with whether the decision to expand is structurally sound. Everything else follows from that.
Institutional fluency.
We understand how governments, free zones, investment agencies, and institutional buyers evaluate foreign companies, because we have worked inside those frameworks.
No delegation.
The adviser who assesses your situation is the same person in the room when decisions are made. There is no junior layer between the analysis and the engagement.
Global Reach
Where we take you.
We work primarily with innovative companies from Türkiye and the wider EECA region, helping them establish and grow in four destination markets.
United Kingdom
London · Edinburgh · Manchester
The UK is one of the most accessible and credible entry points for technology companies expanding into Europe. A transparent regulatory environment and strong institutional support make it a natural first destination.
- Established startup and scale-up ecosystem with deep investor access
- UK presence signals credibility to European and global partners
United Arab Emirates
Dubai · Abu Dhabi · Sharjah
Government-backed digital transformation agendas and significant capital availability make the UAE one of the fastest-growing markets for technology adoption globally.
- High-speed procurement cycles and strong appetite for international tech
- Strategic gateway between East and West for scaling operations
United States
New York · San Francisco · Austin
The US represents the highest-stakes expansion decision for most technology companies. The opportunity is significant, so is the cost of entry without a validated strategy.
- Largest addressable market for B2B and enterprise technology
- Requires precise timing, positioning, and capitalization before entry
Netherlands
Amsterdam · Rotterdam · The Hague
The Netherlands offers one of Europe's most business-friendly environments, combining EU market access with low barriers to establishment and a highly connected international business community.
- Gateway to the EU with favorable holding and IP structures
- Amsterdam ecosystem strong in tech, logistics, and creative industries
We also selectively support international companies considering market entry into Türkiye. These engagements are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
The Next Step
Expand internationally.
The right way. At the right time.
If you are considering international expansion but have not yet committed to a direction, this is the right point to engage. The intake process takes approximately 15 minutes. Not all applications are accepted. We respond within 3 business days where there is a fit.
